![]() ![]() Microsoft were able to turn things around once they admitted they got things wrong and did the reverse of what they were planning (they’re still lost when it comes to first party games, but that’s another story). That is going to be a lot of work but I hope they put it in because I won’t be buying the game if it’s uses the old system in anyway. EA has basically got too options open to them now: just bring back the microtransactions in a few weeks and pretend they’re somehow ‘fairer’ or completely rethink the progression system so that loot boxes have nothing to do with it. ![]() The question for me now is whether Battlefront II can be salvaged, because I was really interested in the game and I think a lot of people were too. This is just like Microsoft’s Xbox One U-turns and shows how quickly, and completely, companies will change track once they realise their greed and stupidity is going to cut into their bottom line. I hope all those gamers that just shrugged their shoulders over Star Wars: Battlefront II, and assumed nothing could be done, have learnt their lesson. ![]() You weren’t joking when you said Friday would be a day long remembered. ![]()
